Description
The best ever healthy chocolate frosting that is irresistibly thick and creamy and can be slathered on just about anything. Don’t stop there though, this little treat makes the perfect healthy pudding or mousse with an indulgent taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large avocado
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- 1/3 cup maple syrup (substitute honey if desired)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor.
- Pulse until mixture is nice and creamy
- Taste test it before you pour it into a container and add more maple syrup or honey if you prefer it a little more sweet
- Store in air-tight container (like these) in the fridge for up to 5 days
Notes
*Note : This recipe makes 2 cups of chocolate frosting which is enough frosting for a round cake or a dozen cupcakes/doughnuts/cookies with some left over. If serving as a pudding or a mousse, serving size would be around 4 servings.
