Skinny Smoky Grapefruit Margarita

A deliciously refreshing margarita with a healthy little twist! This cocktail is light, citrusy, and the perfect summer treat. It has all the amazing flavors of the traditional margarita with no added sugar!



2 oz.  mezcal (tequila will work as well)

2 oz fresh grapefruit juice

2 oz fresh lime juice

3 dashes orange bitters

1 - 2 cups ice

sea salt for rim


1. Place ice in a cocktail shaker

2. Pour the mezcal, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and orange bitters in the shaker and shake a couple of times

3. Salt the rim of a cocktail glass, pour cocktail into each glass with ice, and garnish with a grapefruit slice if desired


* Note : if you like your cocktail on the sweeter side, try adding in honey simple syrup 1 oz at a time.  To make, heat 1 cup water with 1/3 cup honey.  Once boiling, remove from heat and let cool.  Transfer into an airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to use!
