Pumpkin Spice Martini

Ingredients

For the rim

  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin spice
  • Maple syrup to act as glue

For the cocktail

  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon coconut cream or heavy cream or dairy free milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • 1 oz kahlua
  • 1 ½ oz espresso
  • Ice

Instructions

  • First, rim your martini glass with pumpkin spice sugar if desired. To do this, mix together the sugar and pumpkin spice on a small plate. Place a dollop of maple syrup on a cloth or paper towel. Hold the martini glass upside down and run the maple syrup around the edges (this acts as glue for the rim). Keeping the glass upside down, gently place it on the plate with the pumpkin spice sugar. Twist the glass carefully into the sugar so all sides are coated in the sugar. Hold the glass upside down for about 10 seconds before flipping it right side up. Set the glass aside to set while you prepare the drink.
  • In the bottom of a cocktail shaker, add the pumpkin puree, coconut cream, maple syrup, and pumpkin spice. Stir well to combine. You should be left with a creamy pumpkin mixture.
  • Add the vodka, kahlua, and espresso to the shaker.
  • Fill the shaker up with ice and shake vigorously for at least a minute.
  • Strain the cocktail into your prepared glass. Sprinkle extra pumpkin spice on top if desired and enjoy!
