Make the pudding mixture by heating the chocolate chips and coconut milk in a saucepan on the stove over medium low heat. Stir consistently until smooth and glossy.
1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup coconut milk
Remove the pan from the heat. In a separate small bowl, mix together a spoonful of the chocolate mixture and arrowroot starch until well combined (this creates a "slurry"). Add the "slurry" to the pot with the melted chocolate along with the vanilla extract. Stir well to combine. You should notice the pudding mixture start to thicken up a bit.
½ tablespoon arrowroot starch, 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Divide the pudding into 4 jars. Place plastic wrap over each one, pressing the plastic down on top of the pudding. Store in the fridge for at least 3 hours to chill.
Once chilled, assemble the dirt pudding by sprinkling some crushed chocolate sandwich cookies over top and finishing it off with a couple of gummy worms for good measure.
8 chocolate sandwich cookies, 4 - 8 gummy worms
