Easy Healthy Baked Cinnamon Apples

Sweet and crisp cinnamon baked apples swimming in a delicious cinnamon dusting. This apple bake is a fan favorite in our house all year round. This classic recipe is easy and simple and made with clean ingredients. Best served warm right a big scoop of paleo ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 6 apples 4 red and 2 green
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon plus 1 teaspoon extra to top, optional
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • 3 tablespoon coconut oil melted and cooled
  • Vanilla ice cream optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut apples into slices (remove skin if desired) and place in a 9 X 13 baking dish.

  • In a bowl, mix the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla, coconut sugar, and coconut oil until well combined.

  • Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the apples and toss with a rubber spatula. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon if desired.
  • Bake in oven for 40 minutes until soft.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of Paleo Vanilla Ice Cream or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Just heat the dish in oven when ready to eat.
