Orange Salmon Recipe

I have over a dozen salmon recipes on my website and this honey orange salmon recipe may be my favorite (shh don't tell the others). It's sticky and sweet with a delicious sauce and crispy exterior that's perfect every time.

Ingredients

  • 4 filets salmon about 6 oz each
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil or other neutral oil
  • cup orange juice fresh, about ½ an orange
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut aminos swap with low sodium soy sauce if needed
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Instructions

  • Pat the salon filets dry with a paper towel. Season well with the salt and pepper.
    4 filets salmon, ¼ teaspoon sea salt, ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with the olive oil. Once shimmering, add the salmon to the skillet, skin side down, and cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
    2 tablespoon olive oil
  • Flip the salmon back over, skin side up. Cook for another 1 minute.
  • Add the orange juice, honey, coconut aminos, and minced garlic to the skillet around the salmon. Use a spatula to gently mix it up and allow the sauce to simmer for 1 - 2 minutes until thick.
