Pomegranate Margarita

With the perfect combination of sweet, tart, and smoky this pomegranate margarita is a festive twist on the classic margarita. It's pop of bright red color makes it the perfect adult treat to sip on over the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 ½ oz orange juice
  • 1 ½ oz mezcal see notes for mocktail version
  • 1 teaspoon agave plus more for the salt rim, optional
  • sea salt for rim, optional (I used black but white will work too)

Instructions

  • If rimming your glass, add a dollop of agave to a paper towel and run it along the rim of a cocktail glass. Dip the glass upside down into a shallow dish with sea salt.

  • Add the pomegranate juice, orange juice, mezcal, and agave to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
    2 oz pomegranate juice, 1 ½ oz orange juice, 1 ½ oz mezcal, 1 teaspoon agave
  • Strain the cocktail into the glass and enjoy!

Notes

Mocktail : Swap the mezcal with the same amount of ginger beer or seltzer water to make this a virgin pomegranate margarita.
