This crockpot beef and broccoli skips is even easier than ordering take out. Skirt steak simmers low and slow in a sweet-but-savory sauce for a few hours and the noodles and broccoli soak up all the extra sauce the steak leaves behind. It's quick and simple and one the entire family can get behind.

Ingredients & Notes

  • Skirt steak - It holds its shape through a few hours of slow cooking, while flank doesn’t. Sirloin works too though.
  • Ramen noodles - Ramen is thin enough that the sauce coats every strand. Use brown rice ramen to keep it gluten-free.
  • Coconut aminos - This is the savory base. Soy sauce works too if you aren’t cooking gluten-free.
  • Honey + sriracha - They add a little sweet and a little heat.
  • Arrowroot starch - It thickens the sauce so it clings to the noodles. Cornstarch works too.
  • Broccoli - It goes in at the end with the noodles, so it comes out tender, not mushy.
