Behold, my snickerdoodle puppy chow! This whole idea started because I wanted a cinnamon-sugar snack mix with extra crunch. Basically my classic puppy chow but with holiday vibes. Whole-wheat biscuit cereal works so well here. The pieces are bigger than traditional Chex, so every bite feels extra hearty and satisfyingly crunchy. I toss them in melted white chocolate & cashew butter with a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg for that cozy snickerdoodle flavor. After a few test batches to balance the sweetness and spice, this version quickly became my favorite holiday (and movie-night) treat. It’s simple, nostalgic, and dangerously snackable!

All you need is 10 minutes, a handful of ingredients, and one extra-large zip-top bag. Holiday snacking = solved.

A person sits cross-legged in a meditation pose with their hands resting on their knees, peacefully imagining delicious hibachi steak bowls. The simple black outline contrasts against a white background.

Snack lovers, pause right here - I have bonus treats you’ll want on standby. My crunchy chocolate covered chickpeas are shockingly addictive, the kind of snack you keep reaching for without thinking. My toasty sea salt almond clusters bring that perfect salty-sweet pop, and when only a classic will do, these gooey magic cookie bars come in clutch. Basically… your snack bowl is about to level up.

Snickerdoodle Puppy Chow Ingredients

Whole-wheat biscuit cereal is the star here - bigger, crunchier, and perfect for catching every drop of melted white chocolate and cashew butter. The cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla add a fresh snickerdoodle taste. A dusting of powdered sugar makes the whole mix sweet, soft, and snack-ready.

  1. Hey wondering if it needs to be cashew butter or if any nut butter would work? I am guessing you want a more neutral flavor?

    1. Yes I used cashew butter because the flavor is not so overpowering. I would maybe try an almond butter if you don't have cashew. You can definitely use peanut butter but it will taste more like a white chocolate Reece's than snickerdoodle.
