Healthy French Onion Dip Ingredients and Notes
- Greek yogurt - I use this in place of mayonnaise for the base of the dip. For the best results, use plain, full-fat yogurt. Or, choose your favorite dairy-free alternative.
- Worcestershire sauce - This adds extra depth and a subtly smokey taste. If needed, you can substitute coconut aminos or soy sauce.
- Honey - This is optional but highly recommended if you don’t use it with the onions for a subtle sweet taste that balances some of the tang.
- Seasonings - Sea salt, garlic powder, and black pepper add extra depth and a savory taste.
- Caramelized onions - The star of the show! Caramelized onions add lots of depth and a sweet, savory, pungent flavor that takes this healthy French onion dip over the top.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. I don’t recommend freezing this recipe, because the dairy will not thaw well. Luckily, it's quick to make fresh!
