Best Ever Healthy Chocolate Frosting
Paleo Chocolate Frosting

This is the creamiest, most delicious frosting I have ever had the pleasure of tasting and it will be going on just about everything from here on out. I brought this into work one day (with a baked good that I’ll be sharing very soon) and people went BANANAS over the chocolate frosting. I played a game and made my co-workers guess the main ingredients (because we need to make work fun sometimes) and it’s safe to say nobody guessed correctly.
Yep, that’s it! This incredible delicious mousse-style frosting is made with avocados, cacao powder, maple syrup, and a little vanilla (and a pinch of salt duh) which probably also makes this the healthiest chocolate frosting on the planet.
Don’t limit yourself to slathering this on freshly baked goods though, it can definitely act as a healthy pudding and be eaten by the spoonful. It’s extra thick, decadent and nobody will every know it can be made in under 5 minutes with 4 whole ingredients. Have I blown your mind yet?
All you need to make this is a high speed blender or a food processor. I seriously don’t know what I would do without one of those. The fact that they can make an avocado look like that ^ is insane. If you prefer your chocolate frosting on the sweeter side, just add in a little more maple syrup or honey, whichever you prefer. Hope you have some fun with this one friends!
Creamy Paleo Chocolate Frosting
1 large avocado
1/4 cup cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla
dash of sea salt
Pulse until mixture is nice and creamy
Taste test it before you pour it into a container and add more maple syrup or honey if you prefer it a little more sweet
Store in air-tight container (like these) in the fridge for up to 5 days
* This recipe makes 2 cups of chocolate frosting which is enough frosting for a round cake or a dozen cupcakes/doughnuts/cookies with some left over. If serving as a pudding or a mousse, serving size would be around 4 servings.
